Frequently asked questions.

  • An LPC-Associate is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has completed a master’s degree and passed the state licensure exam. I’m fully qualified to provide therapy and am currently gaining additional supervised clinical experience, as required by the state of Texas.

Being under supervision means I have ongoing support and oversight from a fully licensed and experienced LPC-Supervisor—this enhances the care I provide and ensures that I continue to grow in skill, insight, and ethical practice.

  • My clinical supervisor is Kimberly Parker, MS, Doctoral Candidate, LPC-S, LCDC, EMDR-Trained . As part of my licensure journey, I consult regularly with my supervisor to ensure you’re receiving the best care possible. Your confidentiality and privacy are always respected in that process.

  • The first session is about connection. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you’re hoping for, and begin creating a safe space for you to share openly. There’s no pressure to have all the answers—this is a time to explore and just be yourself.

  • Yes! I offer secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth sessions for clients across Texas. If you prefer meeting from the comfort of your home, this is a great option.

  • Individual and couples sessions are typically 60 minutes.

  • No, I am a private-pay provider and do not accept insurance. However, I offer sliding scale rates and limited pro bono spots to help make therapy more accessible.

  • Coffee & Counseling offers the same therapeutic support you'd get in a traditional session, just in a more relaxed environment like a local coffee shop. It's ideal for those who feel more comfortable outside of a clinical setting. Sessions are still structured, confidential, and professional—just with a personal twist.

  • I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations. Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a fee.
