Meet the Therapist…

Hi, I’m Dania —founder of SerenityRoots Counseling—and I’m so glad you’re here.

Life can be overwhelming, messy, and sometimes just plain hard. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, grief, relationship challenges, or simply trying to hold it all together, you don’t have to do it alone. I offer a space where you can breathe, speak freely, and start sorting through what’s been weighing you down—without fear of judgment.

SerenityRoots was created with the belief that everyone deserves healing, no matter your background, income, or life story. I welcome people from all walks of life—because I believe we all carry pain, we all deserve peace, and we all heal in connection.

In our sessions, I show up as a real person, not just a therapist. I’ll walk alongside you with warmth, honesty, and encouragement, helping you build on your strengths and find clarity in the chaos. My approach is collaborative and down-to-earth, drawing from proven methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing—but always tailored to you.

Therapy with me isn’t about being “fixed”—it’s about being heard, feeling seen, and beginning to grow in new and meaningful ways.

Whether you're seeking support for yourself, your relationship, or just trying to make sense of where you are right now, you’re welcome here.

If you’re ready to take that first step, I’m ready to walk with you.

🌿 My Approach to Therapy

At SerenityRoots Counseling, therapy isn’t just about coping—it’s about growing into the version of yourself that feels most true and whole.

I believe healing happens when we feel safe, seen, and supported. That’s why I approach every session with compassion, curiosity, and a deep respect for your story. I don’t believe in “fixing” people—I believe in walking alongside you as you rediscover your strength, rebuild your voice, and begin to create new patterns that serve you.

I work from a trauma-informed, relational, and holistic lens, which means I see you as a whole person—not just a diagnosis or a set of symptoms.

In Our Work Together, You Can Expect:

  • A calm, judgment-free space where all parts of you are welcome

  • A collaborative relationship—you’re the expert on your life

  • Gentle exploration of how past experiences may still affect the present

  • Practical tools for coping, communicating, and setting healthy boundaries

  • A flexible pace that honors your comfort, needs, and cultural values

  • A therapist who shows up with empathy, honesty, and heart

What Influences My Work:

I draw from a variety of evidence-based approaches including:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) – to challenge unhelpful thoughts and build new skills

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) – to support emotional regulation, mindfulness, and healthier relationships

  • Motivational Interviewing (MI) – to support you through ambivalence and change

  • Mindfulness & grounding tools – for anxiety, overwhelm, and trauma responses

  • Narrative & strength-based techniques – to help reframe your story with dignity and hope

  • Attachment and relational work – to heal wounds around trust, safety, and connection

Whether we’re exploring family patterns, navigating recovery, healing after abuse, or just figuring out how to feel like you again—I’ll meet you right where you are.

“When we heal ourselves, we heal the generations before and after us.”
— Maisa Ziegler

Your Healing Is Yours

You don’t have to do this alone. Therapy with me is real, raw, and rooted in respect. There’s space here for your pain, your joy, your questions—and your growth.
